User Experience

From https://sdrock.churchcenter.com/groups, user can select the group type they are interested in: Men’s, Women’s, Coed, Married Couples, College/18-25, Students, Kingdom Life, Outreach and Business. After choosing a Group Type, all the open groups of that type are listed. There are filtering options for user to refine their search. User clicks on a group and basic group information is displayed: about, campus, meeting online or in-person, schedule, leader, location.

If user clicks on Request to Join button, they are prompted for their mobile phone number. User enters their mobile phone number, and then they are sent a six-digit code and prompted to enter the six-digit code that they received. Next, churchcenter.com uses their phone number to search for the user’s profile in the system. Either their profile will be retrieved, or the user will be prompted for their first, last name, and email address and a profile will be created. Next, the user is emailed a six-digit code and prompted to enter the six-digit code. Upon entering the six-digit code, a Request to join this group box pops up where then can enter a message and press Request to join.

User has the option to enter a personal message and then presses Send request. A success message opens up that says:

A group leader will get back to you as soon as they can. Thank you!

User should be receiving, at some point, a welcome email from the Group leader with details about the next group meeting.

User will additionally receive an email from Planning Center: Rock Church San Diego <no-reply@churchcenter.com> stating that they have been added to the group.

If the user does not receive a reply from the group leader in 5 days, the user will receive an email from Aaron Taylor <no-reply@churchcenter.com>, asking if someone connected with them or reached out to them.
